About
Hans Jongeling
Jongeling Numismatic Auctions was founded by Hans Jongeling with a clear philosophy: quality should take precedence over volume. With no more than one carefully curated auction each year, every consignment can receive the research, presentation and personal attention it deserves.
Hans brings 25 years of experience in the auction world and more than two decades in the international numismatic market. His career has included Sotheby’s Amsterdam and the Royal Dutch Mint, where he ultimately served as Head of Numismatics. He holds a Master’s degree in Ancient History from Utrecht University and is a TMV Registered Appraiser.
Over the years, Hans has advised private collectors, investors, museums and families on the acquisition, valuation and sale of rare coins, medals and important numismatic collections. This combination of auction experience, specialist knowledge and an extensive international network forms the foundation of Jongeling Numismatic Auctions.
The approach is deliberately personal: honest advice, transparency and direct contact throughout the entire process. Whether it concerns a single exceptional coin or an important collection, each consignment is carefully prepared and presented to an international audience of serious collectors.
